iPET Network Level 3 Award in Asian Fusion Wool Coat Teddy Style

This course is taught completely online to give you absolute control and learning flexibility over your study time. Each week a chapter opens for you to study and practice. At the end of that week your knowledge and understanding is re-enforced with a live group tutorial with your tutor.
Teaching is across 12 weeks and split into weekly chapters that include the following:
  • Coat prep
  • Creating angulation with clippers
  • Scissoring
  • An introduction to balance, proportion and symmetry
The learning outcomes that students will be assessed on are:
  • Understand how to fully prep a wool coat ready to complete an Asian Fusion Teddy style trim; including bathing and fluff drying.
  • Be able to identify the key anatomical landmarks of the dog to set your clipping and scissoring pattern and then demonstrate this when clipping and scissoring.
  • Demonstrate how to complete an Asian Fusion Wool Coat Teddy style groom including, teddy legs, round head, teddy ears, oval muzzle and carrot tail.

Students will be assessed at the end of the teaching process by:
  • Completing several short answer questions
  • Demonstrating their ability to complete the groom with several short videos focusing on creating the key elements like: Oval muzzle, round head, teddy ears, carrot tail, round feet, column leg, close clipped body.
  • Submission of before and after photographs for their assessment groom.
We strongly encourage to build a portfolio of practice work over the teaching process to refer back to but ultimately the assessment will just be on one groom.
